Foot Stool Redo to Match Chairs

 I was asked if I could match this little storage stool to go with two chairs that I previously restored. 

This Old Chair ...

and this Vintage Chair. 

Cute little storage stool. 

Starting off with removing the top from the hinges. (Carefully, as this is mostly "particle board" material and not actual wood on this stool. The legs are turned wood. )

I used 3" memory foam to reupholster the top and used the matching fabric from the chairs.  Stapling the fabric to the board.

(My selfie, squishing the foam between the fabric and the top with my knees.  I don't photograph well in this manner.)

I chose to use this faux black snake skin to cover the interior of the top. 

I glued down the edges of the fabric and attached it to the top. 

Then choosing where the turquoise paint should go to match up with both chair redos, I painted the legs with chalk paint. 

For that aged look, brushed on black paint 

here and there...

and wiped off. 

Replaced the newly cushioned top...

to finish it up~ 

Now it goes home to be with the two chairs
 that once visited me~ 

Simple, easy and renewed in a few hours.
